Putnam : These stocks' blood is running in the streets
Submitted on 12/07/2007
How many of you would be interested in a list of stocks that are likely to be particularly punished over the next couple of weeks?
Most of us would rather buy stocks that have already risen in price than put buy limits in for stocks that have been big losers. It takes rare courage to be willing to "buy when the blood is running in the streets," as Nathan Rothschild famously once said.
George Putnam appears to have such courage. He is editor of The Turnaround Letter, one of the very few newsletters that pursues a consistently contrarian approach to investing.
