The time to buy stocks is now - Buffett
Times are good for value investors. The looming recession and the decreased amount of credit obtainable due to the credit crunch in the US have caused stock markets to drop presenting a great opportunity to invest. And the second richest man in the world, Warren Buffett is lapping up shares.
He recently purchased 60% of a private company called Marmon, one of the largest companies in the US and made up of more than 125 manufacturing and service businesses in various different sectors, for $4,5bn. The remaining percentage will be acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in a series of staged acquisitions over the next half decade.
Should you want to do the same, Robert P Miles, best-selling author and Warren Buffett expert, believes South African investors need to "buy at value, not based on price".

Stock Market is not cheap
I agree that Buffett does not think that stock market is very cheap. This is Robert P Miles trying to create hype so that he can sell his books/advice.
If Buffett thinks that stock market is very cheap, he will be buying lot of stocks instead of buying private businesses. What do you think ?
What kind disinformation is this?
This is like claims made in the presidential elections!
Warren Buffet did not say or mean ANYTHING like this - he just bought into ONE company thats all.
This 'story' (and is a real fairy tale) has been picked up by a many other in investment web sites.
Buffet says now it the time to buy my arse!
The purchases he's made recently were not stocks but private companies and the last time I saw asked if the market was cheap he said something like its a million miles from cheap.
